Destan Episode 18 Review

In Destan Episode 19, Alpagu meets Kaya after attacking Colpan and Balamir. Kaya learns what his father did and prepares to go to the western khanate with him. Saltuk does his best to prevent Colpan from dying and wants to take her to the western khanate. Batuga stops Saltuk and says they have to take her to another place. Balamir’s soldiers see Alpagu approaching and prepare for the attack. Alpagu says he killed Balamir and asks the soldiers to surrender. Balamir’s soldiers soon surrender. Akkiz stops somewhere in the forest and tells them that they should not go to the tribe. Batuga sets up a tent to save Colpan’s life and asks Kun Ata to come secretly. Colpan opens her eyes and asks Batuga to be Dag’s Khan.

Batuga goes to Dag and organizes Colpan’s funeral. The people of the tribe are very sad about Colpan’s death. Batuga says he will avenge Colpan after mourning for a while. Batuga says that he will start the Nowruz celebrations soon. Calayir starts to say that Gunseli is pregnant so that she can stay in the palace. Alpagu talks to the tribal leaders and tells them what they did to the traitors. Kuzu returns to the palace and tells what happened on Dag. Kuzu says Colpan is dead and Batuga is the new leader. Ece says they should attack Batuga, but Khan stops her. Alpagu says he will let Batuga grieve. Ece starts to think that Gunseli is pregnant and asks her to stay in the palace. Kun Ata tries to heal Colpan’s and Balamir’s wounds. Saltuk asks Temur to go with Batuga, but he refuses.

As Batuga prepares for the ceremony, Gunseli sends a message. Batuga says that he will soon find out where Akkiz’s mother is. Kun Ata mentions Batuga’s lineage and declares him to be Dag’s new Khan. The entire tribe rejoices that Batuga is the Khan. Batuga sits on the throne and orders the Nowruz celebration to begin. Yibek tells Ece that Balamir said something to Batuga before he died. Ece says Batuga must die to save her life. Kuzu tells Ece that Batuga has taken over the throne. Ece learns that there will be a wedding in Dag and asks Kuzu to send some spies. Batuga sees that the people of the tribe are upset and begins to tell them a story about Nowruz. Alpagu goes to a secret cave and talks to Alaca.

Alpagu asks Alaca some questions. Alaca learns that her husband is dead but her daughter is still alive. Calayir summons a shaman to the palace to check Gunseli’s health. Gunseli goes to Mei’s room with this woman. Akkiz shows up as Mei tries to figure out what happened. Gunseli says Mei will now work for Batuga. Akkiz asks Mei to locate her mother and continues to ask her questions. Mei says it is difficult to locate Alaca and that Vargi was working with China. While Calayir is trying to get Akkiz out of the palace, Ece sees her. Ece asks if Gunseli is pregnant, but Akkiz does not give an answer to hide her identity. Gunseli says she will call another shaman to the palace and takes Akkiz out. Kuzu says the wedding is tomorrow and will send the spies there. Ece asks Kuzu not to kill Temur.

Akkiz returns to the tribe and tells Batuga that she talked to Mei. Akkiz begins to tell what she learned about Vargi. Kuzu kills the musicians going to the wedding and asks the spies to take their place. Akkiz thinks that Gok will attack the wedding and asks to set a lot of traps in the forest. Saltuk sets out to attend the wedding. Temur talks to Tutkun and says he wants her despite everything. The guards think the spies are musicians and let them in. Batuga and Saltuk say they want Sirma for Yaman. After a short time, Sirma and Yaman come to an agreement. Kun Ata prays for the new couple and gives them advice. Sirma starts a big fire and says she accepts Yaman as her husband. Yaman accepts Sirma as his wife and then everyone starts to eat.

Alpagu asks where Kuzu is. Ece says she sent Kuzu to check the quarantine tent. Everyone who ate at the wedding that night suddenly falls asleep. Akkiz realizes that something is wrong and asks Batuga to be careful. The spies dancing at the wedding suddenly begin to attack everyone at the tribe. Batuga realizes that he is in no condition to fight and slowly begins to flee. One of the spies stabs Kun Ata. Kuzu tells Ece that spies attacked during the wedding but Batuga is still alive. Ece gets very angry because her plan didn’t work and asks the spies to find Batuga as soon as possible. Akkiz is very sad because Kun Ata died. Batuga says that many people in the tribe have died and want to bury Kun Ata’s dead body. Akkiz says that Kun Ata is a part of nature and takes him somewhere in the forest with her friends.

Kuzu’s spy continues to watch Batuga. Mei calls Yibek and says she will give her smallpox medicine for her daughter. Yibek goes to the quarantine tent with Mei. Yibek says she wants to see her daughter, but Temur stops her and says Ilay is already dead. Batuga and his friends cover Kun Ata’s body with stones in the forest. Batuga says that they will migrate to a better place. Temur learns where Alaca is and tells this information to Akkiz. Akkiz goes to the cave with Temur and attacks Khan’s soldiers. Alpagu says he will bring Alaca to the palace and sets out. Batuga waits for Colpan to recover and then goes to get water from the stream with Tutkun. Kuzu’s spy attacks and cuts Tutkun’s throat. Saltuk takes Alaca out of the cave. Akkiz saves her mother and hugs her. The spy then stabs Batuga in the stomach. Alpagu sees Akkiz getting her mother but doesn’t do anything.
