Introduction
Omar or Omar-e-Farouq is an Arab historical TV series. It was produced and directed by MBC (Middle-East Broadcasting Company). It was directed by a Syrian named Hatem Ali. It was released on Qatar TV from July, 20th to August 18th 2012. It consists of 30 Episodes, each episode`s duration was 45 minutes. It was telecasted in the Holy month of Ramadan.
This Tv series highlights the real life of the Great Second Caliph of Islam, Hazrat Omar Ibn Al-Khatab. As in this series the characters of the Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), Rashidhun Caliph Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A), Hazrat Omar (R.A), Hazrat Usman (R.A) and Hazrat Ali (R.A) were depicted by actors, so this series had to face the controversy. The series was shooted in Morocco, specially in the cities of Marakesh, Tangiers, El Jadida, Casablanca and Mohammedia. When it was officially broadcasted on MBC, afterwards it was dubbed in different languages for international broadcasting and was also subtitled in English language.

Synopsis
The series begins with a sermon delivered by Caliph Hazrat Omar Ibn Al-Khatab (R.A) to the pilgrims during his pilgrimage to Mecca, this thing overwhelmingly increase one`s faith. He is recalling and remembering his early days when he was only 18-years old and used to work for his father named Khattab Ibn Nufayl. A flashback started showing his early life and thus the series begins. The era when He (R.A) was an arm wrestler,then arised as a great businessman and the most important leader from the Quraish tribe. His life after accepting Islam, and becoming the closet companion of The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). After accepting Islam, He (R.A) proved himself a devoted muslim, a great source of Inspiration for other people and a great brave warrior who fought a lot of battles for Islam.
The series covers all the incidents of his life passing through the triumph of Mecca, the death of The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the selection of Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A) as the first Caliph of the Islam then his death and finally reaches to the era when Hazrat Omar Ibn Al-Khatab (R.A) was appointed as the second Caliph of the muslims. This series also depicts the biographical amendments and the complexities he had to overcome during his reign as a Caliph. These complexities resulted in his Martyrdom by Abu Lulu Feroz.
We are well aware of the fact that Turkish season Dirilis Ertugrul is banned in Arab countries but regardless of all this, this series was also telecasted in Turkey. It was officially broadcasted by ATV on (July 20th, 2012) and KANAL 7 on (June 7th, 2016). Now we are going to bring it for you in Urdu dubbing as well as in English subtitles.
