Kurulus Osman Episode 72 Review
In Kurulus Osman Episode 73, Byzantine soldiers realize that Osman has entered the castle and attack him. Osman realizes that Turgut’s life is in danger and takes action to save him. Rogatus takes Turgut prisoner and waits for Osman to come. A short time later, Osman comes and saves Turgut. Osman and his soldiers manage to escape using the secret passage in the castle. Osman returns to the tribe and says that the children were taken to the Hristos monastery. Cerkutay sneaks into the monastery and tries to gather information. The next day, Osman plans an attack to take back the Turkish children. While Osman is talking to his soldiers in the forest, the Byzantines attack them. Rogatus finds the clue that Ahmed left for Osman in the dungeon and sends the children to another place. Osman retreats to avoid losing any more soldiers.
Osman returns to the tribe and says he hasn’t got the children back yet. Osman sees the crying women and immediately goes to his tent. Osman prays to Allah to get the children back. Turkish children go to Aya Yorgi monastery by order of Rogatus. Nikola and Kosses think that their Turkish children will soon become Christians. Nikola says that Gregor has started to implement the plan and they will attack Sogut soon. Meanwhile, Gregor visits Osman and says he is very sorry for the kidnapped children. Osman likes this behavior of Gregor very much. Osman says he will find where the children are. Ahmed is very sad about all that has happened and starts to pray to Allah.
Osman goes to a secret place that night and meets someone there. The man Osman meets is a spy and tells him about a priest coming from Constantinople. The spy says that the priest will go to the Aya Yorgi monastery and that the children are there. Nikola says he wants to strengthen his alliance with Kosses, so he must marry Mari. Kosses says he will talk to Mari. Osman says that as a priest, someone must enter the monastery. Osman asks Kumral to dress like a priest and tells him that he will enter the monastery. Abdal accepts this mission to save the children and dresses like a priest. Abdal gives his staff to Cerkutay and sets out. Kosses asks Mari to marry Nikola, but she refuses the offer. Malhun asks Bahadir to follow Gokce secretly. Osman gives Abdal a false document to enter the monastery and begins to wait for him in the forest.
Bahadir meets Gokce and tells her that they will soon escape from the tribe. Osman then catches the real priest, who is trying to go to the monastery with his soldiers. Kumral comes to the monastery and starts talking to Rogatus. While Julia is angry with the children, Abdal comes and stops her. Rogatus is very impressed by what Abdal says. While Gokce is trying to escape in the forest, Bahadir kills her. Abdal talks to Rogatus once more and then goes to see the children. Abdal tells the guards in the children’s room that they have to confess. Abdal then ties the two Byzantine soldiers and leaves the room with the children. Rogatus thinks that Abdal does not know Latin and stops him in the corridor of the monastery. Abdal starts talking to Rogatus in Latin and says that he is taking the children to the kitchen of the monastery. Rogatus goes to check on the soldiers in the room and realizes that they have been neutralized by the priest.
Rogatus asks all his soldiers to capture the priest. Abdal leaves the monastery with the children and starts running towards Osman. Osman takes the children and starts to fight the Byzantine soldiers. Rogatus allows Osman to escape and gets very angry with his soldiers. Meanwhile, Mari goes to Turgut’s tribe and says she wants to talk to him about something. Bahadir returns to the tribe after a while and tells Malhun that Gokce is working for the Byzantine soldiers. Mari tells Turgut that Kosses is trying to force her to marry Nikola. Nikola learns that Osman took the children back and gets very angry. Nikola says he will attack Sogut to take revenge on Osman and sets out with Rogatus. After pacifying Boran, Osman immediately returns to his tribe. Osman hands over the Turkish children to their families. After Osman hugs his son, he says that the Byzantines are trying to change the religion of Turkish children.
Osman says that no matter what happens, Turkish children will remain Muslims. Everyone in the tribe thanks Osman. The spies in Sogut fill the gunpowder in small jugs and begin to smuggle it all over the city. Gregor talks to Edebali about God’s mercy and love. After Gregor leaves the lodge, the spies continue to put the gunpowder jugs around. Osman invites the children he saved and their families to his tent. Osman serves the meals prepared for his guests and starts to eat with them. Ahmed begins to tell Osman what happened in the monastery. Cerkutay talks to Aygul once again and asks her why she doesn’t want to marry. Aygul once again says that she does not want to be sad, but Cerkutay says that he will continue to wait for her.
Gregor learns from the spies that the mission has been completed and eagerly awaits the attack of the Byzantine army. Nikola, Kosses, and Rogatus meet outside of Sogut. Nikola tells his friends that they will blow up Sogut soon and then take over it. That night, the spies secretly take action and try to detonate the gunpowder filled jugs. Gregor secretly waits for a long time, but when he hears no explosion, he realizes that something is wrong. Osman’s soldiers kill these spies one by one. Osman finally catches Gregor in the middle of Sogut. Gregor apologizes to Osman many times. Osman tells Gregor that he learned all of his plans from Akca and accuses him of trying to kill innocent people. Osman says that the penalty for this crime is death and executes Gregor. Later, the people leave their homes and learn why Osman killed Gregor.
