Ya İstiklal Ya Ölüm Episode 3 & 4 Overview
In Ya İstiklal Ya Ölüm Episode 3, On 16 March, 1920 British army started to inhabit Istanbul according to the command. Cevat Pasha and Topkapili Mehmet are discussing about the National crusade (Misak-e-Milli), heedless that the occupation has started. As soon as Husamettin and Topkapili left the castle, the British army reached there and captured Cevat Pasha. British army continue to capture former Pashas and important personalities by force. A group of British troopers enters a police station in the search of a pasha they were looking for. Troopers from the army band try their best to elaborate the situation to the British soldiers, but the British troopers kill them. Colonel Kemalettin reaches police station after the attack and tries to rescue the injured soldiers. Journalist Ebuziya also reaches police station. Kemalettin tells him to capture the scene and display the British killing to the entire world.
In Ya İstiklal Ya Ölüm Episode 3, Ihsan Bey (Istanbul Telegram Center`s Manager) gets a phone call from the ministry of war and learns the news that British army began to occupy Istanbul. Ihsan Bey comprehends that the British army can inhabit the building, and instantly informs Mustafa Kemal about the situation. Mustafa Kamal was in Ankara at that time, understood that the British desired to frighten the rebellion forces and instantly sent a telegram to the war ministry, but the British soldiers had already entered into the Ministry building. On the next day, Mustafa kamal reaches Ankara telegram center. British agents go to Fevzi Cakmak (Ottoman empire`s war Minister) and tell him to deprive of arms the Turkish soldiers. Ihsan Bey learns that the workers at the Beyoglu Telgraf home are fired and sends a message to Mustafa Kamal about the current situation. British troopers reach Telegram center to intervene and control communication, they forced everyone out of Telegram center. Mustafa Kemal realizes that the British are trying to detach the Representative committee from Istanbul and makes a reverse- move. No officials and troopers will contact Istanbul without the permission of the committee.
In Ya İstiklal Ya Ölüm Episode 3, A spokesperson sent by the British High Commissioner who reached to sublime porte, speaks to Salih Pasha and alerts him about the government working with the British. Mustafa Kemal comes to his companions and wants them not to be anguished. All the state institutions in Istanbul have become out of order so that the conditions for opening a parlimentin Ankara began to appear. Halide Edip (A Famous Turkish novelist) and her husband Adnan Bey (Member of the Parliament) find out that the British are searching for them and try to go to Anatolia. The next aim of the British is to occupy university and they force everyone out of there. Because of the photographs taken by Ebuziya, British troopers invade the newspaper office and capture him, after that they forcibly take photographs from Ebuziya.
In Ya İstiklal Ya Ölüm Episode 3, As the British army check people`s true identities in the market, havoc begins and Husamettin saves Galip. Galip then tells his uncle a task to send the English fro his country. Topkapili Mehmet bribes the troopers who come to the manor and rescues his friend. Halide Edip goes out to frighten her companions and learn about their condition, but the scene on the street surprises her. The non-muslim people residing in Istanbul have started to mistreat Turks with the assistance, they get from the British. Sir Milne and Sir Robeck discuss about the captures and the future of the opposition in Anatolia. According to the scheme of Milne, the assembly in Istanbul will be closed and subordinates will be arrested. While Halid Edip is wondering on the road, two British soldiers stop her and try to check her identity.
In Ya İstiklal Ya Ölüm Episode 3, Thanks to Topkapili, she is released from the soldiers. Mustafa Kemal delivers another Telegram to high rank soldiers and civil officials in Anatolia. In this telegram, with the occupation of Istanbul, The Ottoman state was tried to be terminated and therefore calls on everybody to fight to save the freedom and Caliphate authority from exterior sources. Topkapili Mehmet says that he will support Halide and elaborates where she should go tomorrow evening. Ferid Pasha (Grand Vizier) is ready to terminate the resistance members in Parliament and act according to British will. Topkapili reaches the society of the British friends and posture like one of them to get information. The telegrams sent by Mustafa Kemal bother Robeck. The community members plan to prepare an article that describes that the British inhabit is necessary for the freedom of the Turkish people and adores the British. Milne talks to Captain Bennet regarding parliament attack and tells him to do a clean work.
In Ya İstiklal Ya Ölüm Episode 3, Mustafa Kemal delivers messages to Africa and Asia to elaborate the condition in Istanbul to the entire Islamic world and to actuate them. Rauf Bey reaches parliament and talks to the subordinates. Rauf says his companions that they should go to the session, they got from the palace. Some ordinates tell Rauf Bey to run away, but he says that if the Parliament closes, it will resume from Ankara. Galip reaches the place where his uncle advised him and meets the people who supported the resistance in Istanbul. Topkapili Mehmet informs that Ferid Pasha is ready to succor as minister and tells Galip to do job in Ferid`s house. After talking to Sultan, Rauf reaches parliament and informs what the Sultan said. Meanwhile, Captain Bennet reaches parliament with his fellow troopers and tells that Rauf will be seized. Rauf tells subordinates what will happen if the parliament closes, but anyone does not trust him and tell them they will not link the parliament in Anatolia.
In Ya İstiklal Ya Ölüm Episode 3, The commander, who protects the parliament, comes and says that British troopers are coming to seize. When the subordinates talk about the British not getting in the parliament, Bennet sends the troopers inside and starts arresting deputies forcibly. Milne is happy and thinks that he annihilates the eastern Roman Empire, but Robeck tells him distress regarding arrests. Mustafa Kemal comes to know that the British attack ed the parliament and seized two deputies. While this situation scares everyone, Mustafa Kemal is hopeful because the parliament can be unlatched in Ankara now. Mustafa Kemal commands that the troopers of the allied forces in Anatolia be seized and they should be deprive of arms. Later, he wants to seize Lieutenant Colonel Rollonson in Erzurum, because he is the brother of Sir Henry Rawlinson.
