Episode 13 of Mehmed Fetihler Sultani begins with Sultan Mehmed traveling to Constantinople to retrieve Princess Mara from the Byzantine Emperor Constantinos. Despite the Emperor’s initial compliance, he reveals that it was Janital Li Pasha, the Prime Minister of the Ottoman Empire, who facilitated the princess’s capture. After their return, the Sultan questions Mara about her conversation with the Emperor. Although she initially considers revealing the minister’s involvement, she decides to remain silent, recalling the Sultan’s stern demeanor.

Meanwhile, Emperor Constantinos anticipates another invasion by Sultan Mehmed and, fearing his soldiers’ lack of readiness, convenes a council. Against the advice of his Diwan, he seeks an alliance with the Catholics, his former enemies, and requests military aid from the Pope. In response, the Pope sends only 28 soldiers, humiliating the Emperor.

Sultan Mehmed learns that Emperor Constantinos plans to fortify Dimitria Fort with northern reinforcements to hinder the Muslim conquest of Constantinople. Following the Sultan’s orders, Sardar Bali Sahib and his soldiers ambush the caravan, seizing gunpowder and supplies, and dealing a blow to the Emperor’s preparations.

In a clandestine meeting, Princess Mara confronts Minister Janali Pasha about the Emperor’s accusations. The minister denies the charges, professing loyalty to Sultan Murad, and temporarily gains her trust.

In the harem, Aunt Sultan, who supports Sultan Mehmed’s brother and Khan, is suspected of plotting against the empire. She receives a message, seemingly from the prince and Khan, summoning her to a secret meeting. When she arrives, she finds Sultan Mehmed instead. Realizing the trap, she begs for her life, but the Sultan condemns her as a traitor, leading to her arrest with the help of Princess Mara and Bahar Khatun.

The episode concludes with Sultan Mehmed dispatching Nos Ali Sahib and the Akanji soldiers to besiege Dimitria Fort, setting the stage for the next confrontation.
